Marketing and Managed Service

Our Marketing and Managed Service encompasses everything we include in our Marketing service, but very much takes all the work and hassle away from you and allows you to relax in the knowledge that not only will Devon Hideaways get the best occupancy rate for your property, but we will also take care of everything else on your behalf. This includes checking and making your property ready for incoming guests and responding to any issues they may have during their stay. Effectively we become your eyes and ears in Devon and are here to respond to guest feedback, resolve issues if and when they arise, engage tradespeople when you need them, order replacement appliances if required and ensure that everything runs smoothly in terms of the changeover, maintenance, gardening and fuel top-ups. We even check your property regularly to meet the requirements of your home insurance cover.

For a small quarterly charge, we are therefore able to offer a wide range of additional services on top of the Marketed Service to support both you and your guests, thereby maximising their enjoyment of your holiday home and delivering an exceptional service to you at the same time

These services include:

  • Full guest liaison and mediation on your behalf.
  • Source and manage your housekeeper and changeovers, and monitor housekeeping sundries.
  • Manage all maintenance and any additional services including:
    • General maintenance
    • Gardening
    • Window cleaning
    • Health and Safety Compliance: Fire Risk Assessment, fire equipment checks and service certificates, electrical gas/renewables heating and hot water testing and service certificates, PAT testing, carbon monoxide detectors, chimney sweep (where necessary)
    • Replacement and/or repair of existing appliances and ordering/taking delivery of new appliances as and when the need arises
    • Emergency works (an emergency budget will be agreed with you up front)
  • Loan and deliver emergency equipment to guests if something does go wrong.
  • Meet your guests at your property, if and when required to resolve any issues.
  • Use either your recommended tradespeople or our trusted tradespeople to maintain your property for holiday letting.
  • Provide an annual peace-of-mind maintenance report for each property including an inventory check, helping you to replenish stock if and when required.
  • Source quality towels and linens on your behalf at wholesale prices, if required.
  • Recommend local services: for example, local restaurants, private chefs, babysitters, dog walkers, taxi companies for you and your family and guests to use, when staying in your property.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost per year?

For both the Marketing and Marketing and Managed service, we charge a commission on the total rental income for each period your property is let by us (less the Base Fee). The Marketing and Managed service also has an additional annual fee. For more information, please get in touch with our team.

Do I have to deal with holiday enquiries?

No. All enquiries will be handled by our bookings team, who convert them into firm bookings, take deposits and work with guests directly in the run-up to their holiday.

What happens if my property gets damaged?

We operate a damage waiver scheme to deal with and reimburse you for minor damage, up to an amount determined by the size of your property. More information is available in the lettings guide or from your New Business Manager.
